SHERPUR: Two persons were killed in a road accident in Koyrsha Badagoir area under Nakla upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Billal Hossain, 45, and Babul Miah, 42. Both were the residents of Sadar upazila of Kishoreganj district.

Golam Haidar, Officer-in-Charge of Nakla Thana, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Quoting locals, police said, the accident occurred when a speedy bus collided head-on with a pick up van on Sherpur-Dhaka highway in the area around 12:30 PM, leaving the duo dead on the spot and one other injured.

The injured was rushed to the Nakla Upazila Health Complex.
