DHAKA: Police recovered four bodies--a couple and their two kids--from a house located at Kadampur in South Keraniganj area, on the outskirts of capital, on Wednesday morning.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

The bodies were recovered around 11:30am.

Locals came to know about the four bodies after the house’s caretaker Sohel informed them after getting bad smell from the house, sources added.

They said, moreover, the house was locked since last couple of days.

However, confirming the matter to banglanews, Dakkhin Keraniganj Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jamal Uddin Mir said that the deceased might have been strangled to death before 48-hours.

“The bodies of the deceased middle aged couple and their kids were tied up with rope,” he added.

Nevertheless, police are investigating the matter and detained two persons to interrogate in connection with Keraniganj four murders in the noon.

The two were identified as Sohel, the caretaker of the deceased’s house and Abbas, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver.

They are being interrogated at the police station, said the OC.

RAB-10 officials, Crime Investigation officers of CID visited the spot.
