KISHOREGANJ: Four minors were injured as an abandoned bomb blasted in Ghorakanda area in Bhairab upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The injured were aged between two and eight, said a spot account of the incident.

Witnesses said some children were playing in the area at the afternoon. A boy found a cocktail in a garbage heap and picked up deeming a toy which blasted at his hand, leaving him and three other minors injured critically.

However, they were rushed to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex and shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their physical condition deteriorated.

Officer-in-Charge of Bhairab Thana Badrul Alam Talukder confirmed the matter to banglanews.
