RAB against acquittal of involved members

DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) does not want any acquittal of its guilty members who were allegedly involved in seven-murder case in Narayanganj.

RAB director general Mokhlesur Rahman made the disclosure through an SMS to the journalists.

The SMS said RAB does not want release of its alleged personnel.

“Even the elite force did not know about their involvement in abduction and killing of seven persons in Narayanganj district,” it added.

RAB media director Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said RAB made the confirmation after the European Parliament and several local media published news in this regard.

He also said RAB does not want to put any interference in their charges. He also mentioned the previous examples of punishments of RAB personnel in many charges.
