They, however, were also seen locked into clashes with police at that time after which the law enforcers detained one of them.

Rajshahi: The authorities of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) on Thursday declared closed the university for an indefinite period and asked the students to leave their halls within 10:00am Friday.

The decision came from the RUET academic council meeting after the clash between Chhatra Shibir, Chhatra League and Police on the campus on Thursday afternoon about an incident relating to observing hartal within the campus.

On Wednesday, Supreme Court sentenced Sayedee to imprisonment unto clinical death, on 2 charges of crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War, differing with the International Crimes Tribunal’s death penalty to him.
