DHAKA: The rail communications of Rangpur resumed after six hours halt as a train named ‘Burimari Express’ derailed in Lalbagh area in the district on Thursday. 

Rangpur rail station acting superintend Akbar Ali told banglanews that the rescue train of Lalmonirhat Division started the rescue operation around 7:00pm which ended around 9:00pm. 

Earlier, rail communications with Rangpur halted after the derailment of the train in the area.
