SIRAJGANJ: A Swechhasebak League leader was killed in a road accident at Sirajganj Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Monirul Islam, 43, son of Ainal Hossain of Kodda Krishnapur union, member of district Swechhasebak League.

Police and local sources said a rashly driven truck crushed into Monirul’s motorbike in Syedabad crossing area of the upazila, leaving him dead on the spot and another one injured.

Later, on information, police rushed in and recovered the body, said a spot account of the accident.
