2 electrocuted in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ: Two people were electrocuted in separate incidents as they came in contract with live wire in Gopalganj power house and Tungipara upazila of the district on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Bulbul Khan, 26, son of Abdul Manik Khan of Bedgram area of the town and M Kutub Mollah, 14, son of Chand Miah Mollah of Sardarpara area of the upazila.

Bulbul’s father Abdul Manik said he was electrocuted while working in Gopalganj Power House on August 27, leaving him critically injured.

Bulbul was rushed to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital and later, transferred to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). He died at 7:00 am Friday.

Another man Kutub electrocuted as he came with contract with live wire while cutting tree in the area in the morning, leaving him dead on the spot.
