BSF returns 4 BD women, kid

HILI, DINAJPUR: The members of Border Security Force (BSF) returned three women and a kid from India in Kamal Gate area in Hili frontier of the district on Tuesday.

They are Uzala Begum, 36, wife of Taslim Sardar at Poradah village of Mirpur upazila in Kushtia district, Shakila Beowa, 30, wife of late Salam Mondal, at Tebaria village of Natore Sadar upazila and their son Alif, 6, and  Hazra Mandol, 60, wife of late Akram Mandol from the same area.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) check post camp commander Subedar Abdul Mannan, confirming the matter, said the four people crossed the border in the area with the help of brokers around 6:30am.

Later, the members of BSF detained them from Hili Bus Stand on charge of intrusion into India and filed a case with Hakimpur Thana of India. 

After a flag meeting between the two neighboring countries, BSF handed over them to BGB members around 7:00pm.
