THAKURGAON: Two people were killed in a road accident on Dinajpur-Thakurgaon highway in Choto Khochabari area of the district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Farhad, 30, resident of Khansama upazila of Dinajpur district and Ilias Ali, 50, from old Thakurgaon.

Quoting witnesses, Officer-in-Charge of Thakurgaon Sadar Thana Mehedi Hasan told banglanews that a Panchagarh-bound BRTC passenger bus crushed into their motorbike, leaving Farhad dead on the spot and Ilias injured critically.

Later, Ilias Ali succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital, he added.
