GAZIPUR: A man was crushed under the wheels of a train in Majhukhan area adjacent to Railway Bridge number 14 in the district on Tuesday noon. 

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Joydebpur Railway Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector Dadan Mia said a train hit the victim while he was crossing the rail track in the area, leaving him dead on the spot.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he added.
