City mishaps kill 3

DHAKA: At least three people were killed in separate accidents in the capital on Tuesday morning.

Two of the deceased were identified as Junayed Hossain, 22 and Jesmin Akter, 18.

At city’s Green Road area, Junayed was killed as a rashly driven truck rammed a human hauler carrying him around 6:30am, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.

In another accident, Jesmin Akter was killed as a car knocked her down in city’s Gulistan area in the morning, leaving her injured critically.

Later she was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead.

An unidentified person was killed as was crushed under the wheels of a train in city’s Kawran Bazaar Rail Crossing area at 8:00am.

Officer-in-Charge of Kamlapur Thana Abdul Majid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
