DHAKA: The rail communications of Sylhet resumed with Dhaka and Chittagong in the afternoon after salvaging the oil tanker that derailed in Moghol Bazaar of Sylhet district on Tuesday morning.

Assistant Executive Engineer of Railway Mujibur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Sylhet Rail station Manager Abdur Razzaq said the Paharika Express left Sylhet at 3:30pm.

Earlier in the day, wheel of an oil tanker veered off the track around 9:30am that snapped rail communication of Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes.
