DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader directed police not to bow to any person except President and prime minister for violating traffic rules. 

The minister came up with the direction while attending a mass awareness programme at city’s Farmgate on Tuesday.  

He said that his ministry ordered police authority to ensure stopping opposite direction driving except President and prime minister.  

If anyone breaks the rules including any VIP person, police will take stern action against him, he added.
