101,758 pilgrims to perform hajj

DHAKA: A total of 101,758 pilgrims will perform hajj from Bangladesh this year under the government and private management.

Of them, 10,000 pilgrims will perform hajj under the government management while the rest 91,758 pilgrims under private management.

Members of the parliamentary standing committee on religious affairs ministry discussed about this matter in its fourth meeting at the Parliament House on Monday.

The committee hoped that the hajj management would be complete in a free and fair manner as the previous days.

Earlier, two members of the Parliament visited Saudi Arab for home rental affairs for the pilgrims.

Members of the parliamentary committee Habibur Rahman Mollah, Sayed Nazibul Bashar Maizbhandari, Md Makbul Hossain, Md Amir Hossain and Dilara Begum, among others, were present at the meeting chaired by the committee chief Bazlul Haque Harun.
