DHAKA: US secretary of State John F Kerry greeted Foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, says a press release on Sunday.

Kerry’s greeting was conveyed through a letter to Mahmood, according to press release.

The letter says, 'The richness and diversity of Muslim communities reminds us of the bonds that tie and bring all of us together, strengthening the bridges of our shared humanity.'

The minister thanked Kerry for his greetings.
