MOULVIBAZAR: Three people of a family were killed and four others injured in a road accident in Chakrampur area of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Nirupam Achariya, 45 of Giasnagar area of the upazila, his wife Manju Rani Achariya, 35 and one of their relatives Rina Achariya, 35.

Witness told banglanews that two CNG-run auto-rickshaws collided in the area around 2:00pm, leaving two dead on the spot and five others injured.

Later, another passenger succumbed to his injuries after he was taken to a local hospital.

Srimangal Highway Police Camp in-charge Nannu Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.
