Obaidul asks WASA to stop digging roads

DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader asked Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) to stop all types of digging roads ahead of Eid.

The minister came up with the direction while visiting a flyover construction work in city’s Maghbazar area on Tuesday morning. 

He said that all types of cutting and digging have to be stopped before seven days and three days later of Eid-ul-fitr. Besides, the garbage containers have to be removed which is indiscriminately remained in roads.

Meanwhile, Obaidul Quader expressed hope that the home-bound people won’t face any problem in the upcoming Eid.
