Lightning kills 2 minors in Kushtia

KUSHTIA: Two minors were killed and two others injured as lightning struck them in Satbaria Mandalpara area Bheramara upazila of the district on Friday noon.

The deceased were identified as Sayem, 8, son of Humayan and Evana, 11, daughter of Abdul Jalil, residents of the area.

Witnesses said that lightning struck them while they were playing football in a local ground around 12:30pm, leaving them dead and two others injured on the spot.

The two others injured were rushed to Bheramara upazila health complex.

Additional Police Superintendent of Kushtia Sohel Rana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
