TANGAIL: At least four officials of a NGO have been killed here on Dhaka-Tangail highway’s in Kalihati area of the dsitrict early Saturday.

The accident took place when a truck rammed into their pickup van around 8:30am, witnesses told banglanews.

However, the identity of the deceased is yet to know.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Bangabandhu Bridge east police camp Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akheruzzaman said that all the deceased were Pabna Samaj Unnayan Sangstha officials.

The incident took place when a truck rammed into their pickup van, leaving two dead on the spot and four seriously injured, he added.

OC said that later two more succumbed to their injuries after locals rushed them to the hospital.
