DHAKA: Bangladesh Railway (BR) is going to reform its some systems including ticket selling and counter monitoring.
According to the new system, every counter of the railway will be asked for setting up close circuit cameras to tackle ticket blacking.
Besides, in every ticket, name and phone number of the passengers will be included to reduce harassment of the passengers in the train.
A high level source of Bangladesh Railway confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Earlier, BR has taken a decision to sale advance ticket prior five-day in stead of existing 10 days and it will be started from June 11.
The decision came from a number of meetings of railway ministry and rail authority.
The source said in primarily close circuit cameras will be set up at Dhaka Kamalapur station from July this year and then every divisional and district station will be covered soon.
On May 25, parliamentary standing committee on railway ministry suggested to introduce CC cameras and new ticketing system to stop blacking.
