COX’S BAZAR: Two people, including a woman, were killed by falling into a septic tank at Ramu upazila in the district on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Rahima Khatun, 50, wife of one late Abdus Sukkur and Salam Ullah, 33, son of a late Seher Mia, residents of Umkhali area of South Mithachhari union in the upazila.

South Mithachhari Union Parishad Chairman Saiful Alam told banglanews Rahima and Salam Ullah fell into the septic tank while talking.

Family members rescued them and rushed to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared them dead.
