BRAHMANBARIA: A Brahmanbaria court on Wednesday directed authorities concerned to take legal action against 11 members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Shahnur Alam killing incident.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Nazmun Nahar passed the order after hearing. 

The court made the direction as brother of the deceased filed a case against the Rab members. 

On April 11, RAB -14 Bhoirab camp led-by Major AZM Sakib Siddique held Shahnur Alam and on May 6, he died on police custody. 

Shahnur’s family alleged he was killed by the torture of Rab personnel. 

Later, victim’s brother lodged a murder case against 11 RAB members, including RAB-14 Bhoirab camp led-by Major AZM Sakib Siddique.
