2 electrocuted in city

2 electrocuted in city

DHAKA: Two people were electrocuted in North Badda and Shyampur-Kadamtali area in the city on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Helal Uddin, 15, son of Wahid Mia, hailed from Brahmanbaria and Mohammad Sujon, 25, resident of Merajnagar under Kadamtali of the capital.

Helal’s uncle Al Amin told banglanews that his nephew, who worked at a furniture shop at Uttar Badda, was electrocuted at the main gate of the shop around 4:00pm.

Later, he was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctors declared him dead.

On the other hand, Sujon, a welding operator also was injured he came in contact with electric wire while work at Kadamtali’s Merajnagar area around 4:00pm.

He was also rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), but was declared dead by duty doctors.

The bodies were sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
