Ex-Army man among 2 shot by miscreants

SAVAR: Two people, including a retired army person, sustained bullet injuries in miscreants firing in Burir Bazar area of Ashulia Thana on Monday noon.

The victims are Raja Mia, 55, and a shop owner Yunus, 40.

Witnesses said four miscreants riding two motorbikes intercepted Raja in the area while he was going to the bank. 

At one state of altercation, they shot at his belly and leg. They also fired at Yunus as he saw the incident of firing and fled the spot.

Locals rushed Raja to Savar Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and Yunus to Enam Medical College.

A businessman Aminul Islam said the incident of firing spread panic among the people in the area and all the shops remained closed after the incident.

Bidyut Mia, a resident of the area, said the miscreants might shot Raja to snatch the money which he was carrying.

Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
