DHAKA: Ganajagaran Mancha Monday declared fresh demonstration programme after police foiled their prescheduled programme to besiege law ministry. 

Mancha spokesman Dr Imran H Sarker announced the movement around 2:00pm at Doyel Chattar of the University of Dhaka campus.

Amongst the move, Mancha will stage demonstration on the day same 4:00pm at capital’s Shahbagh and later on Friday afternoon, activists will demo across the country. 

Earlier, Police barred Ganajagaran Mancha activists from besieging the Law Ministry, as part of the previously declared movement. At that time six protesters were injured.

Recently, Law minister Anisul Haque said it is not possible to try and punish Jamaat-e-Islami with existing law.

The remark sparked row across the country. Protesting his remark, Ganajagaran Mancha declared law ministry besiege programme for Monday.
