NARAYANGANJ: A Narayanganj court on Thursday has sent ward councilor Jannatul Ferdous Neela to jail after completion of her three-day remand in a case filed for the murder of a youth.     

District Senior Judicial Magistrate Ishtiaq Ahmed passed the order when Neela was produced before the court in the noon.  

Neela is known as the girl friend of Nur Hossain, the prime accused of the abduction and killing of the city’s panel mayor Nazrul Islam and six others.

After Neela was arrested on May 26, the Chief Judicial Magistrate Zabid Hossain granted three-day the remand for her in the murder case.

On October 26, 2014 the body of youth Jewel was found at Siddhirganj in the district.

Following day a murder case was filed in this connection with Siddhirganj Thana.

Later, three arrested people in the case informed the court that Nila was the planner of the murder but police had failed to arrest her as she was the closest of Nur Hossain.
