DHAKA: Two people including a minor girl were killed in a road accident in Kotapara area of the district on Thursday noon.

The deceased were identified as Billal, son of Gafur Khan in Koarpur village of Sadar upazila and Sonia, daughter of Kalu Sarder in Baghia village.

Locals said that a rashly driven motorcycle hit a battery run auto rickshaw from behind, leaving auto rickshaw passenger Sonia and bike rider Billal dead on the spot.

A person was injured and he was rushed to the Shariatpur Sadar Hospital.

Abul Khaier Fakir, Officer-in-charge of Parlong Model Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
