DHAKA: With a view to stopping black marketing, a Parliamentary Standing Committee recommended including passenger’s name and mobile number in train tickets.

The parliamentary committee also proposed to set up CCTV cameras in the train counters.

The proposals were tabled in a meeting of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railway Ministry at Jatiya Sangsad on Sunday noon.

They also discussed about the progress of railway department that average 58 percent work of the projects had been completed.

Forty six projects are going on involving Tk 25.407 crore. When the project would be completed rail communication would also be more improved.  

With chairman of the committee ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury in the chair, the meeting was also attended by members of the committee Railway Minister M Mujibul Haq, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, M Ali Asgar, Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, M Sirajul Islam Mollah, M Noman and Yasin Ali.
