DHAKA: The Jatiya Sangsad goes into budget session along with opposition party at 5 pm Tuesday. It is the 44th budget for Bangladesh.

Earlier, President Abdul Hamid summoned the 2nd session of the new parliament, exercising the power bestowed upon him as per article 72 (1) of the constitution. 

Finance Minister AMA Muhith will place his 8th the budget for the 2014-15 fiscal on June 5 (Thursday).

This will be the first budget of the Awami League government which was formed on January 5 election, that was boycotted by BNP.

For the first time opposition Jatiya Party will join in the budget session.

The first session of the 10th parliament began on January 29 and prorogued on April 10, 2014.
