Man slaughtered in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA: Miscreants slaughtered a man to death at Joyrampur village of Damurhuda upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Montu mandal, 40, a night guard for a water body, son of Samir Mandal of the village.

Montu was sleeping on varanda of his house on the night; at that time, some 4 to 5 people chopped him indiscriminately and slit his throat, leaving him dead on the spot.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Damurhuda Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Shikdar Moshiur Rahman said, the motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.”

“The man might have been killed over the issue of leasing the water body or previous enmity,” he added.
