NAOGAON: Two people, including a minor, were killed and two motorcyclists injured in a road accident at Raninagar upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Sanyash, 65, and Mahima, 5, daughter of Suman Pramanik, residents of the upazila.

Witnesses said two youths were taking Mahima to hospital by motorbike as she drowned in a pond, to hospital by motorcycle. 

The motorcyclists lost control in Nagar Bridge area and hit a pedestrian—Sanyash--leaving Mahima and Sanyash dead on the spot and the youths injured.

The injured were rushed to Raninagar Upazila Health Complex.

Police recovered the bodies and seized the motorcycle.

Officer-in-Charge of Raninagar Thana Abu Masud told banglanews that a case was filed in this connection.
