CHITTAGONG: Two persons were killed in a road accident in Dighirpar area under Patia upazila of the district on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as M Imam Hossain, pick-up van driver, hailed from Sitakunda upazila and Haji Ahmed, hailed from Satkania upazila.

Police sources said that a rashly driven pick up van hit a troubled truck which was parked at roadside in the area, leaving pcik-up van driver and a passenger dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Highway Police Patia Outpost Naik Shanti Bikash confirmed the matter to banglanews.
