DHAKA: The Sonali Bank again sued Tanvir Mahmood, managing director of Hallmark and its chairman Jesmin Islam for realising Tk 226.23 crore swindled from the bank.

This is the 13th case against Hallmark group filed by Sonali Bank.

Bank’s executive officer Abdus Salam filed the case with Money Loan Court-1 of Dhaka at 12:25pm Wednesday.

He said the case was filed against Walmart Fashions Limited, a sister concern of Hallmark Grups and its’ managing director Tanvir Mahmood and chairman Jesmin Islam.

The state-run bank previously filed 12 cases against Hallmark group for realising more than TK 161.63 crore swindled from the bank.

Advocate Jahangir said more cases will be filed in this regard.
