COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel detained a youth with 800 pieces Yaba tablets on Saturday morning from a jeep (locally known as Chander Gari) in Damdamia check post area of Teknaf of the district.

The detainee is- Mohammad Ali, 34, son of late Mamtaj Miah.

Confirming the matter, BGB-42 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Abujar Al Jahid told banglanews, “BGB detained the man with the Yaba tablets in the area around 10:00am.”

Later, the detainee was handed over to Teknaf Thana after filing case, he added.
