Rizwana seeks security for family

DHAKA: Bangladesh Environment Lawyers Association (BELA) Chief Executive Syeda Rizwana Hasan Friday showed her gratitude to the countrymen after her husband’s rescue.

Rizwana said, “I don’t know how I could pay off this debt. I want to thank the media persons and the countrymen as they all have considered my husband’s abduction as a personal issue.”

She came up with these observations in a press briefing at her central road residence in the afternoon.

BELA chief said, “All abductions are despicable. I came in front of you all with a smiling face as the matter was considered with importance. I had all kinds of support from the state in this connection.”

I am not feeling secured enough though my husband is back, she added.

Rizwana also demanded to give security to her family.

Abu Bakar Siddique, husband of Bangladesh Environment Lawyers Association (BELA) Chief Executive Syeda Rizwana Hasan, was abducted in front of Bhuiyan Feeling Station by Dhaka-Narayanganj link road on Wednesday.

Later, the abductors released him around 11:10pm on Friday.
