GAZIPUR: A man and his son were killed in a clash over land dispute in Kaliganj of the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Mamtaj Uddin, 75 and Saijul Islam, 35.

According to police, opponent Sharif Hossain gang attacked with locally-made weapons on Mamtaj Uddin gang while he went to plough a disputed land at 12:00pm. There at least six people were injured from both side.

Locals rushed them to the Kaliganj Sadar Hospital where doctor announced Mamtaj Uddin and his son Saijul Islam dead.

Kaliganj Thana Officer-in-Charge confirmed this matter to banglanews.

He said that though yet no one was held in this connection, but operation is underway.
