Injured robber dies at DMCH

DHAKA: A man, who sustained bullet injuries during a robbery attempt in Badda area of the city, succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Badsha, 28, breathed his last at the hospital at 1:20am.

DMCH police outpost In-Charge Sub-Inspector Fazlur Rahman confirmed the death news.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Badda thana Officer-In-Charge Abdul Jalil said: “On secret information that a robber gang was taking preparation, police raided in Post Office lane of Badda area at 11:30pm Wednesday.”

Sensing law enforcers’ presence, the robbers began firing; police retaliated with gunshots, leaving Badsha injured by bullet.

Police detained him and seized a foreign-made pistol, 8 rounds of bullet and 2 magazines from his possession.

The injured was taken to DMCH and where he died early Thursday.

The body was kept at the hospital morgue.
