Robber killed in police drive in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR: A robber, who sustained bullet injury during a police drive, died at National Institute of Tromatology & Orthopedic Rehabilitation in Dhaka.

The deceased was identified as Khalek, 32.

Sources said that the dacoit leader was injured when Dinajpur Katwali Thana police conducted a drive on Tuesday night.

Later, the injured was rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital and later shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.

Then, doctors of Rangpur Medical College Hospital sent him to National Institute of Tromatology & Orthopedic Rehabilitation in Dhaka as his condition deteriorated.

He died under treatment around 10:00pm on Wednesday in Dhaka.

Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge Altaf Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
