TANGAIL: A thief gang stole 11 skeletons from a local graveyard at Gulla village of Habla Union Parasahd under Basail upazila of the district early Wednesday.

UP member Akbar Ali said that the gang dug 12 graves at the village graveyard and lifted 11 skeletons early in the morning.

However, skeleton of a grave found untouched, he added.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Basail Thana Officer-In-Charge Salahuddin said: “It has not been traced yet who stole the human remains from the graveyard.”

Any powerful gang might have involved with the theft, he added.
