KHULNA: A woman and her son were slaughtered at their house at Saluya village under Paikgacha upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Anima, 32 and Sajib, 7.

Police detained Dipak, husband of the Anima, in this connection.

Locals said Dipak is a mentally-disabled person.

Paikgasa Police Station Officer-In-Charge Kazi Kamal Hossain told banglanews, “Being informed by the locals, police recovered the slaughtered bodied from their house. Police suspects Dipak may kill his wife and son.”

Police sent the bodies for autopsy, the OC added.
