CHANDPUR: A freedom fighter was killed by his younger brother centering land dispute in Maddhom Chandpur village under Faridganj upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.   

The deceased was identified as Lutfar Rahman, 62.      

Sources said that a long standing dispute was prevailing over a piece of land between Lutfar Rahman and his brother Moulana Mostafizur Rahman.
 
Following the dispute, two brothers locked into an altercation and at one stage younger brother Mostafizur hit the victim’s head with a shoe, leaving him critically injured.    

Later, the victim was rushed to Chandpur Government Medical College Hospital where doctor declared him dead around 3:30pm.     

Chandpur Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Abdul Kaiyum confirmed the matter to banglanews.
