OC among 3-cop withdrawn in Madaripur

MADARIPUR: Three police personnel, including Officer-in-Charge of Madaripur Police Station, were withdrawn following allegations of negligence of their duty as an accused fled from the police station on Monday.

Earlier in the morning, the accused—Akash--fled from the police station.

The two others are Assistant Sub-Inspector Kazi Newaz and Constable Badshah Mia. They have been moved to Madaripur Police Line.

The decision was taken by the Superintendent of Police of Madaripur district Khandaker Faridul Islam on Monday.

Faridul Islam said additional police personnel are in an alert position and conducting drives to hold the criminal.

Moreover, the accused police personnel will be kept under a close supervision and investigation, he added.
