Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has said that the government will set up new diplomatic missions in five countries to engage Bangladeshi expatriates in national development.
The new missions will be established in Dublin (Ireland), Oslo (Norway), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Frankfurt (Germany), and São Paulo (Brazil), according to a post on his verified Facebook account.
He said that in light of evolving geopolitical dynamics, global economic shifts, and Bangladesh’s transition from LDC status, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken this step to deepen political ties with Europe and South America and boost trade cooperation.
