Water levels at 30 river stations rose while 86 saw a fall in the past 24 hours, according to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC). Three stations recorded steady levels, with none flowing above the danger mark.
All major rivers, including Brahmaputra-Jamuna and Ganges-Padma, are flowing below danger levels, and the decreasing trend is expected to continue.
Light to very heavy rainfall is forecast in Chattogram Division river basins over the next three days, but water levels are likely to stay below danger levels.
