Chief Adviser (CA) Prof Muhammad Yunus’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam has said that the CA has not received any letter from UK MP Tulip Siddiq.

“We have not received any letter from Tulip Siddiq, the former UK City Minister and Member of Parliament,” Shafiqul Alam told reporters on Sunday (8 June) afternoon.

He said, “We have been on leave since June 5.”

His statement follows a report by UK-based newspaper The Guardian, which said Tulip had written to Dr Yunus requesting a meeting during his visit to London to “clear up a misunderstanding” related to a recent allegation by Bangladesh’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
