GAZIPUR: A readymade garment official was found dead at rest house of a garment factory on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, accounts officer of Jaber and Jubaer Fabrics at Tongi of the city, son of Abdus Sobhan of Kamarsala village under Ghatail Thana in Tangail district.

On information, police recovered the body from the rest house of the factory at 9:30pm.

Officer-in-Charge of Tongo Model Thana M Ismail Hossain told banglanews that police recovered the hanging body of Alamgir from the rest house. “Later, the body was sent to Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue,” he said.

Younger brother of the deceased Jahangir Hossain said, “My brother had a problem over accounts of the office in the last 2/3 days. I talked to him over phone even in the morning.” 

He also claimed that his brother was killed over the problem.
