Members of police have arrested four people in connection with the recent attack on the Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) building.
They were arrested during raids in different areas of Narayanganj city on Wednesday (May 21), according to police.
The detainees are identified as Nirab alias Rubel, Jisan, Delowar, and Md Pappu.
Narayanganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin said, “We identified the attackers using photos and video footage of the incident. One person was arrested last night, and three more were held today. So far, four people have been arrested.”
On May 12, a group of auto-rickshaw drivers armed with local weapons stormed the NCC building during a protest demanding unrestricted access to the city.
At least eight people, including city corporation officials, were injured in the attack.
