RUPGANJ, NARAYANGANJ: Two workers were killed and seven others injured in a gas cylinder explosion at AK Oxygen Factory in Barpa area of Tarabo municipality of the district on Wednesday afternoon.   

The deceased were identified as Razzak and Jafar, workers of the factory.   

Factory sources said some 20 workers were working at the factory around 5:00pm. At one stage a cylinder blasted, leaving two workers dead and seven others injured.      

The injured were admitted to a local hospital.

On information, three fire fighting units rushed to the factory to recover the stranded workers.   

On the other hand, following the incident agitating locals vandalized the factory and it valuables.
