JP leader Kazi Mahmud passes away

DHAKA: Jatiya Party Presidium Member Brigadier General (retd) Kazi Mahmud Hasan died of heart attack on Tuesday night.

He was 70.

He breathed his last at 11:30pm on way to United Hospital.

Family member Syed Shamsuzzaman Arzan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Family sources said that he felt sick at around 9:15pm at his Gazipur residence and then he died on way to Dhaka.

The body was kept at United Hospital in the city.
